This is an 8mm film of the Wichita, Kansas band formerly known as “The Lemurs” shown here during a house party/rehearsal in June of 1978. Home movie footage shot by Bill Goffrier, who also did the in-camera editing. Silent, no soundtrack.

The Embarrassment's reunion show from Cogburn's (now The Bottleneck) in Lawrence, KS in 1985. Bill Goffrier - guitar/vocals, John Nichols - vocals/keyboard, Ron Klaus - bass. This is the full set of this classic show.

The Embarrassment - Who Pulled The Plug Reunion Show 2008  

The Embarrassment "Who Pulled The Plug" Reunion show from 2008, complete concert video. Recorded at Barleycorn's in Wichita, KS on August 30 with original band members John Nichols, Bill Goffrier and Brent Giessmann perform some of the classic songs with Eric Cale on upright bass and special guest Freedy Johnston. (with apologies to Brent Giessmann, the performance was in a small club and he is out of camera view for most of the show)

The Embarrassment “River Logic”, Celebrate Life Party re-edit, 1983  

The Wichita, Kansas band The Embarrassment performing a really great set with the band in lively form, playing at The Celebrate Life Party outside of Lawrence, Kansas in 1983. John Nichols (vocal, organ), Bill Goffrier (guitar, vocals), Ron Klaus (bass), Brent Woody Geissmann (drums, vocals). The video quality is fair, but as far as music this is one of the bands best live sets. This is a re-edited version based on the multi-camera shoot, a final version was never completed.

The Embarrassment, 2006 Reunion, Liberty Hall  

This is the last full scale reunion that the band staged with all of the original members playing several dates in Kansas. This is the Lawrence show held at Liberty Hall and the band played an extended set rich with their early material along with material from the Boston band Big Dipper. John Nichols - vocals & keyboard, Bill Goffrier - guitar & vocals, Ron Klaus - bass, Brett ‘Woody’ Giessmann - drums & vocals. This video was shot from the balcony of the theater on stage left, this is not the high resolution version that was shot for the feature film in production about the band.

The Embarrassment, Celebrate Life Party, 1983  

The audio track from this live recording wound up on several releases, it's a really great set from the band in lively form, playing at The Celebrate Life Party outside of Lawrence, Kansas in 1983. John Nichols (vocal, organ), Bill Goffrier (guitar, vocals), Ron Klaus (bass), Brent Woody Geissmann (drums, vocals). The video quality is fair, but as far as music this is one of the bands best live sets. The video also features another Lawrence act The John Doe band, performing a live set at the end.

The Embarrassment, Live at the Flatiron raw footage tape one, 1981  

he Wichita based punk band “The Embarrassment” recorded live at a Wichita building dubbed “The Flatiron Building” because of the similar space to the New York city building. The cameraman was Scott Jacobs who was recording the event for a Chicago based music program called “Rock America”. Dubbed from the original tapes by Jim Rosencutter this is the collection #1 of the original raw footage tapes, which he transferred to DVD. Video curator Dan Rouser, historical consultants Bill Goffrier, Jim Rosencutter, the band is John Nichols (vocals, keyboard), Bill Goffrier (vocals, guitar), Ron Klaus (bass), and Brent ‘Woody’ Geissmann (vocals, percussion).
